Baking Powder Biscuits
	
	2 cups flour
	3 teaspoon baking powder
	1/2 teaspoon salt
	1/4 cup shortening
	3/4 cup milk
	
	Sift flour, baking powder and salt into large bowl. Cut in shortening until
	cornmeal like mixture. Add milk and stir lightly with a fork until you have
	a soft puffy dough. Turn onto lightly floured surface, and knead lightly about
	45 seconds. Roll to a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter. Place on
	ungreased baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake at 450° about 12 minutes
	until golden brown.
